Join us for our next Community Meeting - May 14th
The Wildfire Safety Advocates of Waikōloa (WSAW) is a community-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting residents, visitors, and the natural environment from the increasing threat of wildfires. Our mission is simple yet vital: to enhance wildfire safety measures for Waikōloa Village, with a primary focus on securing a publicly dedicated two-lane second access road.
Wildfires are an ever-present danger; preparedness is key to ensuring our community’s safety. With your help, we can:
Advocate for the construction of a second road to provide daily access and a safer evacuation route.
Develop and maintain fuel breaks and firebreaks around Waikōloa neighborhoods.
Collaborate with local agencies to create an official emergency evacuation plan.
Your contribution directly supports our efforts by funding:
Advocacy and Awareness: Building community support and pushing for legislative action to secure safer infrastructure.
Local & Interisland Travel: Meeting with state legislators and officials to advocate for Waikōloa’s needs.
Educational Materials: Printing flyers, maps, and other materials to raise awareness and prepare the community for wildfires.
Together, we can create a safer Waikōloa Village for everyone who lives in and visits this beautiful community.
Your donation—no matter the size—makes a big impact. Help us achieve our mission and protect our community from wildfires.
